Racing History
(100cc DAP) Having already gathered over 40 trophies at junior level '92 marked the beginning of Philip's success. In his first race he won 1st Novice and took an amazing 4th overall to everyones amazement.

-1997 (Honda Prokart) A move to the Pro Kart came about because of the high costs involved in two stroke racing. I spent the first year in my Knight kart in club championships, testing and preparing the kart for a full National assault in 1997. Won the Tockwith summer sprint championship, and third in the Endurance series.

(Honda Challenge) This was my first year of the national championship, racing against profesional teams and experienced racers. In my first season, I came 16th from 64 competitors. Also this year was another Tockwith championship, Wombwell and Warden Law. For winning the Warden Law championship, I recieved a test day at Croft circuit driving a Formula First. This was my first taste of cars and I took my ARCS course straight after the course and havent looked back!

(Honda Challenge) This year was yet another improvement, finishing 14th overall and having top ten finishes at some rounds. Most of the year was spent assessing which championship to take part in 2000.

(Formula Vauxhall Championship) My first test was contested at the frightning Thruxton circuit with all the Formula Ford racers. I was competing competitively, instantly on the pace of the other runners. The season provided spectacular racing and I came away with two victories, one being a 15 second margin at Croft! These results gave me a 5th place in the championship, and this running with PH motorsport against lager teams such as Jim Russell School, Marque Cars, John Village, Welch Motorsport and Shift Motorsport. This fantastic season brought about a test in a Formula Renault with Redgrave Racing. The test was unfortunately cut short due to the weather!

(Avon Junior Formula Ford) This was a short lived experience lasting one race. Unfotunately the development of the car came too late and we decided in my best interests we would spend another year with the Vauxhall in Monoposto. The late entry of my car, ment I was placed with the 2litre class in my 1600cc car! I was over 40bhp down and no downforce! I still managed top ten in every race out of 30 competitors! Also I was lying second in the race at Rockingham untill my lower wishbone was damaged by a rock on the circuit.
